Our Opinion:-

The Cayman Air now features a stub canopy over the side door, making it rain safe by giving some protection from water dripping down onto the sewn in groundsheet whenever you enter or leave the awning. Also, by making the Side door the main entry and exit door, the awning becomes more campsite friendly as you also tent to use the side of your van as a sitting area.

The Cayman Air is a simple domed awning with a sewn in groundsheet with a new colourway and upgraded 120HDE fabric. The Cayman Air awnings features a single inflation point for easy pitching. They are fitted with Outdoor Revolution Air Frame Technology that makes Outdoor Revolution air Awnings some of the quickest and easiest Awnings to pitch. The valve used is taken from the marine industry and used on inflatable kayaks and boats. It is a high-pressure valve with a simple central plunger, you simply press the valve to deflate and press again to return the valve to the inflate position. Most inflatable awnings on the market use the low-pressure Boston valve which has a screw in valve, that you remove to deflate. These tend to leak as the plastic threads wear or they get cross threaded

Outdoor Revolution have added more mesh doors & panels including a zip up mesh panel in the main tunnel door, which in conjunction with the mesh door on the front door creates nice airflow through the awning to help minimise condensation.

Outdoor Revolution awnings tend to have a wider height range on the tunnels due to the design of the tunnel sides which have a sleeve with an elastic cord and adjuster allowing you to gather up the fabric. Lots of other brands just sew an elastic into the side and use a webbing strap buckle to give some means of tightening up the fabric.

Low Height: to fit vehicles with an attachment height of 1.8m - 2.2m, ideal VW Transporters, Transits, Vitos, Bongo etc

This model has been produced from a premium ultra-lightweight 120HDE fabric weave, which has been specifically engineered to deliver lightweight, compact and visually contemporary products that pack away neatly into the inclusive carry bag, making it perfect where weight or space limitations are of key consideration. This material incorporates a 3,000mm Hydrostatic Head and employs fully taped seams throughout, meaning it is exceptionally waterproof and rain will simply bead onto the surface, before rolling off. The sleek design lines & classic tri colour livery will coordinate & complement any campervan or motorhome.

The Oxygen Air-Frame is the quickest, simplest and most reliable inflation system on the market, with no adjoining pipes or taps spoiling the immaculate lines of our stunning designs. The air frame comprises our Dura-Tech single inflation point air frame technology, utilising welded high-pressure tubes and the famed Dynamic Speed Valve. Inflation is rapid using the pump provided and deflation is just the push of a button. This valve is discretely concealed by a Velcro cover.

Large PVC windows permit an excellent vista of the outside world, from the luxury and convenience of your awning, helping to really encapsulate the surrounding landscape. All windows feature integral toggle-in curtains, which can be rolled-back during the day or closed for complete privacy at night. Ventilation Points aid in reducing condensation by optimising airflow around the awning, and a mesh ventilation fly screen panel on the side door will help to keep insects at bay, whilst retaining a pleasant flow of air. We use 'Phoenix Mesh' in all our awnings which is an assisted-healing ‘smart’ material, with the structurally incorporated ability to repair ‘snag’ damage, typically caused by consistent usage over time. Simply manipulated, it will return to its original form. Full Roll-Back doors surround the awning meaning it can double-up as a free-standing shelter or gazebo in hot weather.

The Cayman Air comes complete with a fully sewn-in PE groundsheet, steel ground pegs, reflective guylines, a repair kit, and a double-action hand pump. There are mains cable access points, plus Velcro fixings for our optional LED lighting systems. A Stone Protection Footprint Groundsheet, a hardwearing Dura-tread Carpet, a Two Berth Inner Tent, a set of Canopy Poles, and of course a Bedroom Annex are also available for purchase, alongside an array of other convenient accessories.
