Our Opinion:-

Featuring a sewn in groundsheet, Fibreglass Poles and 120 HDE Polyester Flysheet, giving a Hydrostatic head of 3000mm. The Cayman tail features a longer tunnel section to accommodate the tailgate of Vehicles. Attachment is by lipping he elasticated tunnel over the vehicle and holding in place with guy-lines or straps, there is also the option of adding a 2 berth inner tent.
Fibreglass framed Dome Style tents/awnings like the Cayman are generally stronger than Tunnel Style tents/awnings due to the cross over pole configuration. We find Outdoor Revolutions fibreglass poles very reliable in use and the advantage of fibreglass poles is the availability and ease of replacement if they become damaged. 

Outdoor Revolution have always been good at ensuring good ventilation in their awnings to help reduce condensation. But please remember you will always experience condensation in any Polyester Awning. Remember to keep all the vents open and clear, ventilate the awning whenever possible especially first thing in the morning.

There are very few tailgate awnings on the market especially for VW Transporter sized vans. The Cayman Tail has therefore been a very good selling awning and with the improvements for 2021 especially the New sharper looking colourway and the ability to add an option 2 berth inner tent is it sure to become more popular.

LIGHTWEIGHT POLE & SLEEVE REAR DOOR & TAILGATE DRIVE-AWAY AWNING

The ever-popular Cayman Tail poled drive-away awning is a perfect choice for those looking to create a versatile covered area at the rear of their vehicle. With just 2 fibreglass poles making up the main body of the awning, it is both quick and simple to pitch, and structurally very stable. Available to fit vehicle heights of up to 240cm the fully adjustable connection cowl offers a snug fit to most vans and SUVs. There are large access doors on all sides of the awning meaning in fair weather the awning can be opened completely to double-up as a shelter or gazebo. This model has been produced from a premium ultra-lightweight 120HDE fabric weave, which has been specifically engineered to deliver lightweight, compact and visually contemporary products that pack away neatly into the inclusive carry bag, making it perfect where weight or space limitations are of key consideration. This material incorporates a 3,000mm Hydrostatic Head and employs fully taped seams throughout, meaning it is exceptionally waterproof and rain will simply bead onto the surface, before rolling off. The sleek design lines & classic tri colour livery will coordinate & complement any campervan or motorhome.

Large PVC windows positioned on all sides of the awning allow for ample natural light and a superb vista of the outside world, all windows feature integral toggle-in curtains which can be rolled-back during the day or closed for complete privacy at night. Ventilation Points in the roof, cowl door, and a large side mesh panel aid in reducing condensation by optimising airflow around the awning, as well as helping to keep unwanted insects out.
