The Faros Low II was given a a fresh new look last year with a new colourway featuring a red accent or trim. The Biggest change is the groundsheet is now a sewn in groundsheet where previously it was a seperate linked in groundsheet
Building on the popularity of the Kela and Idris the Faros Low II is designed as a smaller, lighter-weight awning for Van based Conversions.
It is slightly smaller that the aforementioned Kela & Idris and does not have the option of a clip in inner tent. You can buy a special freestanding inner tent for the Faros Low II.
To help keep the Faros Low II a Small, lightweight driveaway awning Vango has used its Sentinel Active polyester fabric. Sentinel Active is a 62g/m2 Polyester, designed as a strong lightweight polyester with a UPF rating of 30+. While this makes no difference to the how weathertight the awning is, it gives a smaller, lighter weight pack-size, which is an important factor when trying to pack a van based conversion like a VW transporter. The groundsheet is now a sewn-in groundsheet, which is is a big change from the old model Faros.
The Faros Low II still features Vangos TBS II system which is patented to Vango and increase the awnings performance in windy conditions. TBS is basicly a system of straps and buckles that you can clip in place internally to give additional stability to the awning.
The windows are large clear PVC with toggle up blinds for privacy
Although designed as a lighter-weight value for money driveaway Awning the Faros Low II is not short of features. When space is at a premium in a smaller campervan conversion then the Faros Low II is worth considering

Vango Faros II Low - 2022 Stock
Great Awning, after lots of research came across this one that is bigger than some but make access into vehicle easier. Eay to put up and with spacious living area, So far have used the driveaway doors section for access. A bit more expensive than some that are avaliable BUT WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY

Vango Pharos awning
Love the Pharos awning, completely changed our camper experience. This awning is the perfect size for couples, room for a table and 2 chairs comfortably in the main awning, with storage space in the tunnel. Well designed and well made, would certainly recommend.
