Our opinion: -

Westfield Outdoors is a large German company that are renowned throughout Europe for the quality of their products.

New for 2022 the Orion 300 Performance Air awning features HydroTech Cotton Touch fabric to give a quality feel to the awning and should last longer than the standard Polyesters used on lightweight awnings. This does give a heavier awning but by removing the window/door panels when packing away you can minimise the pitching weight. Once pitched you can tell this is a more substantial awning compared to most of the polyester awnings on the market. 

With its single inflation air frame pitching is quick and easy and a nice feature on Westfield awnings over other single inflation awnings on the market is you can isolate all the tubes and remove the support tubes, whilst the awning if inflated, to make it easier to find any leaks, without the whole awning collapsing. We always recommend with any air frame you think about being able to repair any punctures to make sure your holiday is not spoilt. A good quality bike puncture repair kit or we would recommend Storm Repair patches and Stormsure adhesive as part of your camping first aid kit.

With a vertical front wall with canopy to the front to give a rainsafe door and blinds to all the windows for privacy. Lots of big windows to give a light and airy feel to the awning.

A big feature of the Orion 300 is the zip on Tunnel section. This allows you to attach and disconnect without the need of a driveaway kit. Double beading also means that it can be used in either 4 or 6mm channels. This enables you to use this awning directly in a roll out/wind out canopy as well as standard caravan awning channels. You are also able to use the awning on different vehicles provided you purchase a 2^nd tunnel to suit the height of your second vehicle or when you change vehicles you can keep the same awning.

You can purchase an optional zip on Bedroom annexe and inner tent to increase your sleeping options.

We would advise that the groundsheet is also an option and the groundsheet Velcro’s in.
