Air Awnings

Air Awnings

Air frame awnings are designed for quick and easy pitching. Smaller awnings can be pitched by one person.
Air frame awnings are generally very reliable, and we would advise that you pitch your new awning as soon as possible and before you intend to use it overnight. The biggest issue we find is with new awnings. On 1st pitching there could be a manufacturing issue with a tube or valve causing a tube to deflate.  we would then ask you to return the faulty tube, so we can get this repaired. Once you have pitched the awning and all the tubes are good, then we get very few issues.
We would also point out the Air Beams need to be monitored in use, especially if the weather is hot.
As the temperature increases, so does the pressure in the tubes (This is the reason you only ever check a cars tyre pressures when the wheel is cold) you may then need to release some pressure from the tube to ensure it does not rupture. You should always only inflate the tubes to the manufacturers recommended pressure and be able to feel some movement if you squeeze the tubes.
Outdoor Revolutions Movelite range of air awnings (T1, T2, T3 and T4 ) overcome this by having a patented pressure release valve in the tubes, they therefore come with a lifetime warranty on the tubes (subject to warranty registration), so are worth looking at.
One issue with Air Awnings is they tent to be bulkier than poled awnings, which can be a consideration when you are thinking where you are going to store the awning in your campervan or motorhome.

Make sure to check the attachment height is suitable for your vehicle
