Dometic Hub 1 - Air Shelter/Tent/Driveaway Awning

Our Opinion:-

We love the versatility of the new HUB from Dometic. Dometic having acquired the Kampa brand, they have rebadged and introduced some Higher specification tents & awnings under the Dometic badge

The Hub offers lots of flexibility. Supplied as a standalone inflatable open shelter, measuring 3m x 3m. it is made from Kampa’s excellent Weathershield™ Pro double coated polyester fabric. This is the fabric used on their Top spec caravan awnings and is designed to be extraordinarily strong and long lasting. The frame is a single inflation Air frame making it quick and easy to erect. It feature Kampa’s Quick pitch guying system with strong straps and additional storm straps to make sure it stays pitched.

From the basic hub you can add several accessories.

By adding PVC Door/ Window or Mesh Door panels you can enclose the basic shelter to make an enclosed shelter. You can add a SUV or VW connection tunnel to convert the Hub into a driveaway awning and you can add a 2-berth bedroom annexe to add sleeping accommodation to the HUB making it a tent or a driveaway awning with bedroom.

There is also the option of purchasing specially designed Hub weight bags that clip and Velcro to the legs of the Hub and that can be filled with sand or water to help secure the Hub, especially useful if pitching on sand.

Not a cheap Shelter especially as you start adding these options, but with the High Spec fabric and customisation options the HUB is a unique and very desirable camping accessory.
