Our Opinion:-

Redesigned model with the biggest change being the down grading of the fabric from 150D to 68D. This does not change how weatherproof the awning is but does help reduce the pack size and weight. An important consideration when storing your awning in a Van based conversion. It also makes the awing cheaper manufacturer and therefore gives a lower retail price.

With so few tailgate awnings on the market and most of these being adapted from Side awnings, the Kampa Travel pod Tailgater is sure to be a success. Available as a poled or Air frame awning, it is designed specificity to fit around the rear tail-gates of SUV's, Large Estate Cars. 

With a unique design to the attachment tunnel that lets you seal around the tailgate whilst open. It also seals around the bottom of the car to prevent draughts.

As with Kampa driveaway awnings there is a clip in groundsheet, so it can be easily removed for cleaning or when pitched on rough ground. The tailgater has an optional 2 berth bedroom so can be used for sleeping.

With so few tailgate awnings on the market the Kampa Tailgater Air is sure to find a market thanks to its well designed tailgate attachment.
