Our opinion:-
NOTE Kampa Dometic have downgraded the fabric from 150D to 68D Polyester. This does not effect how weatherproof he awning is but does help give a smaller pack size which is always a consideration when storing your awning in a van sized conversion like a VW transporter.
The Kampa Travel Pod Trip Air is a great value, easy to erect Air frame awning. Ideal for Smaller Van based conversion on VW Transporters, Mercedes Vitos, Smaller transits, Mazda Bongos etc.
As with most of the Kampa Travel Pods, the Trip Air features a removable , clip-in bathtub groundsheet. Making it easier to clean and suiting camp sites that insist on Removable groundsheets.
The Trip Air features an access door in the tunnel, roll up blinds to the windows and the front door rolls to the side. This does mean there is no option to put the front door as a canopy.
As with all the Kampa Travel Pods there are lots of fixing options tot he vehicle including a pole sleeve for use with a Pole & Clamp (with optional Pole & Clamp Kit), Velcro loops to attach via parallel roof bars, Beading for use with an Awning Rail or Wind Out Canopy (with a suitable driveaway kit) or if you have no fixings on your vehicle you can use guy-lines over the roof.

Designed to fit camper vans, the connecting tunnel has a convenient door for easy access. Two large windows, with roll down blinds, give a great view out and the large front door can be rolled to the side. The Trip AIR comes complete with a clip-in waterproof groundsheet that can be used if the site allows non-breathable groundsheets.
The Trip AIR is only available in one height, VW, which is ideal for camper vans with heights between 180 – 210cm.
